Сommercialization of intellectual property in the agribusiness sector to be discussed at BELAGRO-2026

On June 4, a scientific and practical seminar «Legal protection and commercialization of intellectual property results» to be held within the framework of the 36th international specialized exhibition.

The organizers are the State Committee on Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus and the National Center of Intellectual Property (NCIP).

The seminar program includes:

• the role of industrial property in stimulating the innovation activity of agricultural enterprises;
• protection of copyright objects as a factor in ensuring the innovative development of agro-industrial enterprises;
• analysis of the effectiveness of mechanisms to counteract the turnover of counterfeit products in the field of agriculture;
• geographical indications as a means of promoting Belarusian brands;
• search resources of the International Union for the Protection of New Plant Varieties (UPOV): opportunities for Belarusian breeders;
• strengthening the national food security of the Republic of Belarus based on the use of intellectual property results.

The seminar will be attended by representatives of the NCIP, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the State Inspectorate for Testing and Protection of Plant Varieties, the Belarusian State Agrarian Technical University, ALC «Lexpatent».

Also at the event, participants will be able to ask their question through an open microphone.
